Local context
This guide covers Kathmandu Metropolitan City in Bagmati Province, Nepal's capital—not the whole Kathmandu Valley, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, or Bhaktapur Municipality. The city describes a 50.67-square-kilometre metropolis at roughly 1,400 metres elevation, set in a bowl-shaped valley. It also operates ward, urban-health, disaster-management, and air-quality functions. Those official boundary facts help keep recommendations local; they do not describe an individual's commute, health, income, family, language, exposure, or need for coaching.
Kathmandu's official air-quality dashboard says pollution reflects local activity, valley-wide and cross-border sources, regional sources, and the valley's geography. WHO separately identifies air pollution as a serious Kathmandu public-health challenge. The city also maintains a Disaster Management Department for flooding, fire, weather, and preparedness work. A capital-city search can tempt people to assume walk-in local offices. Confirm the coach’s actual in-person service area in Kathmandu before treating a national profile as local.
Virtual coaching can be a fit when you want a specialist who is not based in your city. In-person coaching requires the coach to actually serve that place. A country-level or international profile is not a local listing.
