Hatay Governorate lists Antakya among the province's districts, while Antakya Municipality describes itself as an ilçe belediyesi, or district municipality. This page uses Antakya for that district and its city core. It does not treat the whole of Hatay, nearby Defne, İskenderun, Samandağ, or another district as exact Antakya evidence.
